Quilted needlebook, pinkeep and strawberry, also winner of giveaway announced.

Hi everyone, I finally managed to get some stitching done  in my craft room and here is what I have been making, a quilted needlebook, matching pinkeep and felt strawberry. I designed the pattern based on the cross stitch sewing machine pattern I designed a while ago. I stitched it on white fabric and then chose this wine coloured fabric with cream polka dots but then realised I should have stitched the design onto cream fabric, but hey, never mind it  will just have to do!

I did not have the correct button in my stash so I cut out a circle of fabric, gathered it around the edge and filled it with fibre fill to make my own button, cute huh? I hand made the cord with matching DMC stranded  thread,  I am not sure if I like the gold beads on the strawberry, maybe they are a bit too large, mmm not sure, but I am quite pleased with this little set, it is a gift to myself for my sewing area.

You can see how to make a strawberry by following my strawberry tutorial on my finishing blog here

You will find the detail of the giveaway winner from last week below this post

Edited: The image for this design is now available below, just click image then right click and  "save as" to your computer.

Unfortunately this pattern does not include the instructions to make the needlebook and pinkeep.
